Sprout — Minimalist Task & Habit Tracker

Public date · 2d

A minimalist task and habit tracker that prioritises small, consistent progress over feature-loaded productivity theatre.

Sprout is a deliberately small task and habit tracker. It rejects the productivity-theatre patterns of competitor tools — endless tagging, nested projects, gamified streaks that punish missed days — in favour of a quiet daily list and a weekly review surface.

Tasks have a title, an optional note, and one of three states: today, later, done. Habits sit alongside in their own panel, with a calendar that highlights the rhythm of the last six weeks rather than chasing a perfect streak. The product is honest about the fact that consistency, not perfection, is what compounds.

Capture is fast. A keyboard shortcut anywhere in the app opens a single input that drops directly into the today list. The friction between thinking 'I should do that' and having it captured is intentionally close to zero.

Sprout syncs across devices but stores the canonical data locally. Offline edits reconcile on reconnect, and an export option produces clean Markdown that the user can take with them. The product is built to be lived with for years, not migrated away from in six months.
